As I always wanted to be an Actor, Cricketer or an Hotelier, you can see that all the three have an end with the word called R and my name starts with R, is it a coincidence or faith I do not know.
As from an Orthodox Brahmin family born and brought up at Delhi, I had very good exposure and my parents were my strength at all times. I had always seen my dad as my mentor, he was the best
man I had ever met in my life. His attitudes, behaviour, sincerity, honesty coupled with high sense of dressing had a good impact on me, it always enabled me to be like him or better than him.
Cooking was a craze and thrill for me. I always used to criticize my neighbours and mom with my fancy thoughts and doings. Why can't the brinjal look like a rat and why not the corns look like the mangled teeth od the dates can be made like cockroach and people used to run me out of the kitchen. But my mom always wanted me to learn as my sister was bit feared of the fire. I took the advantage and started to learn the fundamentals of cooking from my mom. It was at the age of 11 that I began my carrier by making vegetable dish, sambar and rice by the instruction of my first chef, my mom. Of course we had limitations, as the Brahmins we were not supported to make or eat egg, meats ooh no way at all and I had never tempted to do it and infact I remember the first time I was working for the Delhi Oberois I was deputed as trainee in the Gad-Manager and I literally puked in the cold room seeing the meat etc.
Our chef was tough and he fired me and said do not enter if you can't with stand and I thought I am wrong, and then onwards I used to keep a toffee or a somph in my mouth and I used to work by closing my nose with the duster when I enter the cold room, but it was hardly 15 days when I could touch and smell the meat, but till date I have never got tempted or never had any kind of interest to try it out. Now I am capble of preparing many innovative cuisines and the meat all kind in a thoughtful way.
As I said I wanted to become the Actor and Cricketer, I achieved half the way through, but then i found this as a better profession and specialized myself in the food and beverage area. And then late I had to complete my MBS specializing myself in the sales and marketing, and then I thought even if you make the best food it should be sold in a professional way and you need the style to come in front of the camera and do gimmicks in cooking.
As the days passed by I started to think and do what others haven't done. I was thinking if real Nizam would have been alive how he would have prepared his food if the Kings would have been there what will be their recipes and I started working on the same and I was succeeded to get the Travancore and the Marathi rulers at the Tanjore, Sarboji Raja Bhonsle. And I will continue to do the receipes in a different way and working on the kids special receipes, which can be made by themselves easily or by their moms to make the kids surprise. Now I can make any receipes on request of any on their variable tastes.
Trough the cuisine royal.com, I would like to interact with people and give them some special food details, if anyone wants to conduct food festivals my team will go and help them out, food fantasy management and also advise the executives to built up their image by eating good and healthy food and also simple work outs which will make them feel young and look young. I am also at the moment regularly showing cooking show in the Malayalam channel called Surya TV on saturdays.
I think I need to work hard and about everything different and there should be a where I will be serving to the most important and the top most personalities in the world and may be getting offers to conduct food fests in the flights and also a day when I can do something in the moon a icecream food fest may be. Yah dream and it can come true if you have guts to achieve the same. I strongly believe that victory is will.
